Pastor Loren Swanson has been a resident of Las Vegas since 2002.
After graduating from Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota, he
was ordained in 1971. His first parish was in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In 1976
he was called to serve as a chaplain in the US Air Force. He retired in April,
2006 from Nellis AFB, after serving for 30 years in 13 assignments from Florida
to Alaska and from South Korea to Sicily.
Pastor Loren enjoys the opportunity to preach and teach in the civilian
parish. He also enjoys putting roots down in our community. He has now lived in
Las Vegas longer than any other location in the last 45 years.
He is married to Hedian nee Cho, and has four children, Eric, Matthew,
Michael, and Sonja.
