OUTREACH AND MEMBERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

Three grants were received:

$108 for five background checks—people who work with th needy students when doing the distribution of back packs need a background check (requirement of our church insurance).  This was Thrivent    Financial for Lutherans.

They, also, gave Core of Compassions a grant for $1600 for paying for backpacks. 

A grant of $2,375 was received from East Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop to defray the cost of 10,000 cards made and sent out advertising the Easter Worship schedule.

We thank both Thrivent and East Valley for participation in our outreach programs.
